Musical Angel with Lute after Melozzo da Forli

Acrylic on Canvas 18 X 24 Flemish Technique

This is the first time I try Flemish technique or so called 7-layer technique (but I am sure I have painted more than 7 layers!). And the outcome is surprising! I used to want to create a copy after Melozzo da Forli's Musical Angel but finally the color turns out a huge difference. I personally think it is because I use acrylic based on water rather than oil painting based on egg white... Anyway, I am so happy to see this painting finished and so far I am satisfied with it (After all this is my first Flemish trying)...
And special thank to Delmus Phelps and his easy-to-learn website! Although his website is mainly for oil painting, I find it is fine for me to try acrylic instead! So here is the link where I learn Flemish technique:

Also I watch a lot of Flemish technique related videos on Youtube... Don't tease me, I am just a broke student who cannot afford art school...
